Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the answers to some common torque questions:
Why can't I buy one torque wrench that goes from 0 to 1,000 N.m?
The torque wrench scale ranges from 20% to 100% of the maximum torque value of any given tool as referenced in the EN ISO 6789:2003 Torque Wrench Standard.
Why can't my NATA calibration be completed same day?
Our procedure states that electronic items need to stabilise to the lab temperature of 20 degrees plus or minus 2 degrees for 8 hours.
Can I have a calibration job booked in ahead of time?
What is the minimum pressure and volume of air I need to run a Pneumatic Torque Multiplier?
6bar/90psi @ 40cfm/22lps
How often should I have my Torque Multiplier recalibrated?
We suggest customers recalibrate their Torque Multiplier at least once a year and more frequently if used for critical fasteners.
Do I need to send the Regulator/Gauge with the tool?
Ideally, yes. The accuracy of the pressure/torque chart will be improved if the tool and controller are calibrated in tandem.
